INTRUSIONIQ™ POINT IDENTICATION DEVICE (E-PID)

Intrusion Sensors Over Ethernet

Door contacts, motion detectors, glass break detectors, hold-up buttons, and other security sensors can be wired directly to the IntrusionIQ™ E-PID. The device converts those zone signals into network data and transmits them across the Ethernet network to the IntrusionIQ™ system. IntrusionIQ™ E-PID must be paired with the IntrusionIQ™ 16-Zone Bridge.

This creates a distributed intrusion architecture where sensors can be installed anywhere on the network rather than limited by traditional panel wiring or legacy sensor buses.

IntrusionIQ™ introduces a modern approach to intrusion detection by bringing conventional security sensors onto the IP network.

WHAT THE E-PID DOES

The IntrusionIQ™ E-PID is a multi-zone input module that connects conventional alarm sensors to an Ethernet network.

Sensors connect directly to the E-PID using standard alarm wiring. The E-PID then sends the zone activity across the network to the IntrusionIQ™ system.

This allows sensors to be located anywhere on the network while still functioning as part of the alarm system.

Instead of running long home-run wires back to the alarm panel or using legacy polling loops, sensors can now connect to a nearby Ethernet location.

KEY BENEFITS

  • Intrusion sensors over Ethernet
  • Power over Ethernet support for simplified installation
  • Reduced wiring back to the alarm panel
  • Distributed intrusion detection architecture
  • Install sensors anywhere the network exists
  • Supports conventional alarm sensors already used by integrators
  • Allows sensors to be deployed between buildings or across large facilities
  • Improves system scalability and expansion capability
  • Supplies 12V power at 1amp for auxiliary input devices (motions, glass breaks etc)

WHY INTRUSION OVER ETHERNET

Conventional intrusion systems rely on technologies developed decades ago.

Legacy bus technologies such as polling loops and RS-485 sensor buses limit wiring distance, device placement, and system scalability.

IntrusionIQ™ modernizes the architecture by moving intrusion sensors onto the Ethernet network.

BUILDING A UNIFIED SECURITY NETWORK

IntrusionIQ™ creates a unified security architecture where intrusion sensors, AI cameras, and access control devices operate on the same Ethernet network.

The IntrusionIQ™ ecosystem allows integrators to design security systems that are more flexible, scalable, and powerful than traditional alarm system designs.
